This visa allows you to come to Australia to do specific types of work on a short-term, temporary basis. This is a temporary residence visa for new entrepreneurs.

The Supporting Innovation in South Australia (SISA) pilot is about driving entrepreneurialism and innovation in South Australia. SISA is seeking to attract promising overseas seed-stage entrepreneurs to develop their concepts in South Australia, add value to the local innovation eco-system, create jobs, and increase its number of business start-ups. South Australia offers new entrepreneurs an exclusive opportunity to develop their business ideas in South Australia on a Temporary activity visa (subclass 408).

Who can apply for this visa?

This visa is for seed-stage entrepreneurs who have an innovative idea with a project proposal on how you intend to further your concept. Priority will be given to proposals in the following industry sectors:

  • Defence and Space
  • Digital, including Cyber Security, Big Data, and Blockchain
  • Food, Wine and AgTech
  • Health and Medical Technology
  • Robotics
  • Media and Film

You must be under 45 years of age at the time of application and continue to be involved in the South Australian innovation sector for the duration of your temporary visa.
