Skilled Visa

Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189)

The visa is a permanent application allowing the applicants to remain indefinitely in Australia with full work rights. It does not require sponsorship by a State/Territory Government or relative in Australia. In order to apply for a Skilled Independent visa, you must first lodge an Expression of Interest through Skill-Select and be invited by the Department of Immigration to apply.

Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190)

The Skilled Nominated visa is a permanent General Skilled Migration visa which requires nomination by a State or Territory Government. In order to apply for a Skilled Nominated visa, you must first lodge an Expression of Interest and be invited by the Department of Immigration to apply. Once you are invited to apply for a skilled visa, you must lodge your application within 60 days, otherwise the invitation lapses.

Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa (subclass 191)

This visa is for people who have lived, worked and studied in designated regional area Australia on a previous, eligible visa. This Visa does not commence until 16 November 2022.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491)

This visa is a provisional visa that allows you to stay in Australia for five years and live, work and study in a designated regional area of Australia. You must either be nominated by an Australian State or Territory or be sponsored by an eligible family member.
